On the surface, this appears to be a very good deal for you.
Is this available in the greater Baton Rouge area?

Just an FYI for Cox customers if you call about the price you pay monthly they'll usually give you a better one.
I was paying $87.99/month and called saying I wasn't happy with my price after my initial promotion ended and they dropped me down to $59.99/month for 150 DL/ 10 UL.

I am in Denham, they laid the fiber about 2 weeks after the flood and started offering it a couple of months ago.

AT&T is coming to do the install on Gigabit fiber tomorrow. $80/month before taxes/fees for a year. Goes up to $90 at the end of the year.
1GB (split up and down I think?)
$80

It's 1 Gbps up and 1 Gbps down. It isn't split.

I tried to cancel cable and they said my internet would go from $67 to about $92 without cable. I was pretty pissed about that.

Is this price bundled with tv service or stand alone just internet? Is it a promotional price that goes up when it expires? I'm paying more than that with charter currently, but might need to call and see if they will negotiate.

I don't bundle with cable - I have internet only. I'm not sure how much the price differs between markets, but I'm in Dallas FWIW.
