Most everybody remembers Belichick throwing the tablet.

Today I am watching the Fox coverage of the afternoon game. Everybody on the studio crew has a tablet in front of them with the logo prominently displayed. The desk is covered with paper and Bradshaw and Long keep looking through the papers and not once did any member of the crew reference the tablet.

It was not a very good testimony of the MSFT product.

The Surface has been a massive success.

Whether some 60 year old former football player uses the product is not indicative of the quality of the product.

It is indicative of poor marketing.

Typical of MSFT to simply write off customers as too stupid to use their product.

Maybe indicative of doing a poor job training them on its capabilities but we do not have enough information to definitively say that the marketing investment was a poor one.

Uhhh Belichick throwing one away. Bradshaw, Long, Johnson and Strahan ignoring them while filling their desk with paper.

Whatever audience they were targeting with a NFL sponsorship can't be too impressed.

quote:

"As you probably noticed, I’m done with the tablets," Belichick said. "They’re just too undependable for me. I’m going to stick with pictures, which several of our other coaches do, as well, because their just isn’t enough consistency in the performance of the tablets. I just can’t take it anymore." Belichick spoke at length

The Belichick thing was funny, but the worst thing was the first month or so that they had them all the announcers kept talking about all the coaches and players having ipads on the sidelines.

By the way I'm a huge Surface Pro fan.

A. Spent years asking for this board. Probably played at least a small role in it's existence.

B. Bailed immediately because it became a shite show off the bat of OS platform pissing contests.

C. Still is.

Even if true it doesn't change the mistake of sponsoring of the NFL.

I had the opportunity to use one for a while and I found it meh. Not crazy about the OS and the detachable keyboard was mostly useless for my purposes.

do you have much experience teaching 60 year olds to use computers? because in my experience they just don't want to.

Started my biz and figured I'd buy one within a few months to help keep myself organized and productive.

Have realized that my Brother Printer, my iPad Mini 2 and my iPhone 6 have been-literally-all of the pieces of technology/hardware I've needed to successfully run it. I put the small in small business and am super lean but bigger isn't always better.

iOS is very effective with an email and DropBox account.

Windows 10 is the truth. I love it. I don't have any issues with my Surface Pro or work desktop running Win 10.

So in other words don't put dumbasses trying to use new-ish technology on TV got it.....But to your point I think most people that are semi-intelligent see this as a clear case of a PICNIC issue.....Nothing more nothing less.

That's your response to the dude saying we don't have enough info to determine whether it was successful or not?

Wow.
