Wanted to give an update, current setup is a Tablo DVR, Apple TV and Sony Vue ($35)
Second round of cutting the cord, this time I think it will stick.
Very pleased with the Tablo. I have DVR'ed a few things and it works as well as a cable DVR. The 5 seconds or so for the channel to stream is not a big deal. Once you accept that is the way it is it's not bad. The channel menu is great too.
Sony Vue is rock solid, have had only a few freezes. Channel lineup for the $35 level is almost perfect. Part of my issue was always getting the channels I wanted without paying for premium cable. Menu is not bad, actually pretty good. Wish there was a way to get detail on a show without drilling through the menus. Saving shows, DVR, works well. Not as much OnDemand content as Diectv Now but I think the app login is probably better than any other service to get on demand.
For me this is near the perfect setup. Wish we had more competition for ISP service.

If you have Vue, what do you use Tablo for? Vue give you ABC/CBS/NBC/Fox but not local, correct?
Also, another Vue question...are you able to record shows across all platforms? Meaning, I assume you can record shows from the PS4 or the Apple TV since you said it has the better interface. I didn't spend too much time on the Roku interface for Vue but the little time I did spend, I did not notice a feature where you could record or watch recorded shows.

Vue does not have local channels, so the Tablo is used for local. I have about 29 local channels. It records just like a cable TV DVR to an external USB HD you plug in.
Vue does have on deman for ABC and Fox but local including sports (Saints/LSU) is not on Vue

Does anyone else have a password issue with PS Vue? It seems like every other month I get an email from Playstation asking me to change my Vue password. This gets pretty old considering I have to change the password on 4-5 devices every time.

Not experienced that yet but if I do will post an update.
Here's a useful spreadsheet of Vue channels per level and if the channel has an app login:

This is an awesome post for PS Vue subscribers! I would love something like this for DTVN, because they suck communicating to their subscribers. Still holding out for improvements and not lose my Promotional price!!

You are able to record across platforms. For example I recorded a show I wanted to watch on PS4. Turned on Amazon Fire Tv and its listed there also.

I just cut the cord about a week ago and i have comcast internet. I get 75gb download speed for 70 a month this includes 30 add on channels with locals and free hbo. These are the only two things with noting on the internet.
Have a family so this makes my decision a little more difficult. We have 2 xbox ones and like 2 tables plus the Roku streaming player. so devices are not an issue.
These are the current Services i have:
1)Comcast provides the locals and HBO -$70 @month
2)netflix - 3 tv's - $12 @month
3)Amazon Prime - $50
4)sony vue 30.00 -great channels for this price
and up to 5 simultaneous at same time
So my monthly total for internet and TV service
70-comcast
11-netflix
4- prime
30-Vue
----
115 @ month
saving about 40 a month and thats with adding netflix.
The best part is i can drop packages change providers at anytime with no penalities. Its a work in progress but loving it so far. No buffering issues or anything

Those of you using Vue, what internet speed do you have? I think I'm going to cut the cord and get Vue. Also thinking about switching my ISP from AT&T to Comcast. Comcast is offering 100 MBPS for $40/month or 200 MBPS for $50/month. 200 MBPS sounds sweet, but I'm thinking it might be excessive for my needs.

Unfortunately I'm stuck with att dsl at 6mb down. Vue still works flawlessly.

I have vue and have comcast 75mbps and have no lag or buffering issues at all and we usually have at least 2 streaming at same time. I'm totally happy so far

I'm using Vue + Firestick and have no issues and loving it!

What package are you using? Wondering if the price is different in BR. I am using the second package at $35. There are other areas of the country that it's $10 more

I had this issue too. Last time it happened was about a month ago where I simply couldn't log in. Had to call, which took forever to even find a number to call, and have them reset it for me. They said it was a problem going around at that time.
I dropped Vue right after that and went back to Sling.
One thing I've noticed, and I thought it was just me at first but I've had others notice it as well, the picture quality on my Androidtv, is better with sling than with vue without a doubt. Only thing that sucks is that i have to go and clear cache and force stop Sling all the time b/c sometimes it won't open up. Only have that issue on the Android tv, not the firetv's or Roku's i have.

Can we add in Hulu Live TV to this competition? I'm really digging it AND if you already paid for Hulu, it's a steal.
I was previously already paying 11.99$ for the Commercial Free Hulu version. Now I pay 44$ for Hulu Live TV + Hulu Commercial Free. So in essence I'm paying 32$ for Live TV.
Only downside I've seen so far is no AMC, yet.
