Anyone else running out of data after getting YouTube Tv? 1 TB with Xfinity and somehow I’m using it all. One tv right now as we’re renting during a home build. How do families with more than one tv get by under data caps?

I blow through 1TB often. Cox gives you a heads up and you can buy 100 GB blocks or $30 for 500 or $50 for unlimited. Even if I have to pay $50 more for the unlimited, it’s still a lot cheaper than a cable bill.

When we moved into our new house xfinity was the only ISP available for the first 2.5 months. We had 1Gb fiber from xfinity with a 1TB cap. We were suddenly blowing through 1TB, just my wife and I. We had ATT fiber (no data cap) before the move and never came close.

After 2.5 months or so we switched to ATT fiber again when it became available (new construction). Magically we haven’t come close to the cap again.

I have ubiquiti networking equipment and my logs were not showing anywhere near the same data usage xfinity was reporting. Came to the conclusion that they were full of shite and just trying to charge us extra for overages.

The YouTube TV UI is superior to ATTnow but unfortunately YTTV was missing some channels and costs more if you intend to have HBO, which is included with ATT.

Ah ok. I didn’t realize they used the same app for the same thing. Because everything is just simply labeled ATT TV for the streaming service. But yeah that’s a good way to put it.

I don’t get the hate for the remote. Swipe left, swipe right, up, down, click top left and right. It’s basically like using your smart phone. I actually hate using any other remote now.

I could never get the fast forward 10 seconds at a time thing to work more than once or twice before doing some other command on vue with the apple remote. And you need buy a cover to the remote to make sure you're not holding it upside down.

Did you have the comcast provided router that allows other comcast customers to connect to it?

It's pretty slow on my TCL TV. It's fast on the Fire TV we have in the bedroom.

I have been using YouTube TV for a couple months. I am using the original basic remote that came with my Samsung TV. It doesn't have a command for previous channel on the remote. Are you able to get a universal remote to work on YouTube TV that will let you use the previous channel command? It sucks watching sports and wanting to switch back and forth between games.

No. YouTube tv doesn't have a previous channel function.

All you can do is press down and see the last couple of recent channels you've visited.

That sucks. Switching between channels is my biggest issue.

You'll get used it. It's two more control clicks but the tradeoff is you get more choices.

It's not ideal, but muscle memory doesn't take long.

I have noticed on shows I record that some have ads you can't skip through and some do not. Any idea how that works?
