I just spent about three minutes typing up a fairly long thread to start on the music board. Just as I was finishing up the page refreshed and cleared my entire post. This is the third time something similar has happened now.

Anyone else experiencing this? I’m still using an iPhone 11, btw.

I have an 11 as well and have noticed a few issues with the latest update as well. There’s been a few times where the clock and battery/signal indicator were on the side as if it was in landscape mode. It also seems that the cache is not clearly regularly so apps get wonky after a day or so.

I'd presume it's due to a browser update, not an iOS update. The App Store rates apps that have been updated within the last two weeks higher, which is why I get 86 updates a week, for no apparent good reason.

Open TD in a different browser (Branve, Firefox, Firefox Focus, etc.)

My iPhone 11 will randomly cut off. I have to restart it and all is fine for a month or more then, bam….another episode.

I have an 11 laying around that I updated. It's been janky ever since.

Have a 12, and I am having problems staying connected to my Apple Car Play. Every time I get in my car, I have to unlock my phone to get it to connect (which is normal after most updates). During my 12-minute drive this morning it bounced from CarPlay to blue tooth connection at least 4 times. Have never had this happen before.

Are you talking about iOS 17 or the newest update to iOS 16.
I have not done the 17 because they are claiming that is what is causing the overheated iPhone 15’s.

Same. Last time I jumped ship was when it was obvious they handicapped my iPhone 6 due to planned obsolescence. Hated all the tracking and insecurity of the google phone so I came back, hoping that backlash was enough to keep Apple from doing it again, but here we are. Hopefully it is just an unintentional bug that will get fixed.

iOS isn’t any better than Android this my second iPhone since making the switch and I’m seriously debating on swapping back. I really don’t see any advantage other than iMessage it’s just as buggy and lacks features.

Which features do iPhone lack and how do those features improve your life or make it more productive?

Android lacks iMessage and adds a lot more privacy and safety though the closed ecosystem. Your phone is going to complain big time if an app starts trying to access stuff it doesn't need. These are a bigger deal these days than Android fans will admit.

For instance native apps, built in gallery editors , built in Phone app caller id to name a couple those are features I’d definitely use everyday. I’m not bashing one or the other and I’m not a fanboy anymore of either there are some things IOS does better but it’s not omg so much better. I’m not talking about the gimmicks I’m talking about the everyday use of the phone. I think IOS 17 is buggy for the computing power of this phone I should never see lag or stutters or apps freezing like I’ve experienced. Got a 15 pro max right now I’ll give it another year see what the next gen brings.

I have an iPhone 12. No issues until it updated to iOS 17 yesterday. Now there's no sound for any app notifications. I've verified that no settings are changed.

This is apparently a widespread issue according to a quick Google search, but I haven't located a solution.

The phone rings, but mail, texts, etc. that were previously providing a sound notification along with a badge are now only providing a badge notification.

Android has fewer security issues per year and in addition to that, android issues patches for security issues faster than apple does after issues are found.
