Regular HD streaming is about 5mbps, but you're gonna have trouble with 4k content as it's 20-25mbps.

15 Mbps is fine for one person as long as you dont need to stream 4k HDR content. If you want 4k HDR, it will work OK 50% of the time and buffer/less image quality the other 50% of the time.
If you do 4k HDR streaming, really 25Mbps is a better minimum.

And I am upset I am not getting my 500/10 like advertised...

I survived just fine with only the occasional buffering with 8 mbps with 2 adults and 1 kid. Typically only one main TV and lots of mobile/iPad devices going.
It will be perfectly fine for non-4K streams.

FFS, I'm so old. I used to install ISDN and T-1s. (128k, 1.544 Mbps).
NO, it is not sufficient if you're going to stream, unless you only have one streaming device in the home for HD (not UHD/4k). I have 400Mbps at my 20 year old apartment. Your speed is awful.
I hope you live in the middle of nowhere like Angie, otherwise it's inexcusable.

No unless you only have 1 device connected to the entire network.
50 Mbps is the absolute lowest you should go if you live alone or with just one other person.

T mobile has 5g home internet for $25 a month right now. If it is in your area it is pretty quick but it can slow down at peak times. I get 90/3 at my house on my phone and it is suppose to be faster with their 5G home gateway.

Guy at work just got one for his camper and he is getting 118/28 at his campground. They are a legit option.

I watch this guy on YouTube pretty regularly, he has great content. He did a video on T-Mobile 5G home internet and adding a directional antenna kit to the device. He was getting 400/400 I think. Its been a while since I watched the video. The guy at the T-Mobile store evem told him it wasnt available in his area but it is a 30 day risk free deal so just return it if it doesn't work.
Edit: 396/68 mbps

I just tried the T-Mobile home internet for 2 months and decided to switch back to comcast. T mobile was fine most of the time, but we did notice a lot of buffering during live sports. Also had a few occasions where it would just completely go out for a few minutes.
As much as I hate comcast as a company, they are just so fast and stable in my area

I had 24 mbs and when it worked like it was supposed to it was plenty. Problem was I wasn't getting 24 all the time. Sometimes it was real slow especially during peak periods. Got fiber now and no problems.
