How much they cost? Where you ordered and what ways is that onn better?
There are 3 Onn boxes at Walmart.
$20
$30
$50
Until they refresh the Pro box with a new chip, the $30 plus is the sweet spot with the best processor. This processor with the 2GB outperforms the Pro box with older processor and 3GB ram.
Google TV boxes are easy to install custom launchers like Projectivy or Flauncher (no more ad-riddled home screens), and use Google TV app on phone for remote control. For those reasons, I prefer them over Amazon devices, which seem to keep getting worse with each update.

25 a month for the service, a back up, and a huge VOD.

And a VOD and a back up service all in one, yes.
It’s everything you can imagine. Every streaming service, every channel, every sporting event, and direct customer support. They even take requests for their VOD if they don’t have it, lol.

That's expensive. I have all that with Redpill and it's $8/ mo

Then stay with who you have. I’ve had this for years and any problem I’ve ever had was fixed or I was refunded.
You get what you pay for and 25 dollars for virtually 0 problems and a satisfaction guarantee is hardly expensive.

Hey Vrai, can you send me an invite. I need to get a backup in place just in case. I had one provider get shut down a few years ago and it sucked not having service for a week while I tried to find another one.
I didnt see this until after you deleted the email. Post it again and I'll send an invite

Just sent you a friend request on discord. I'm searching for an invite link but haven't found anything. The exact discord server is RPM Duo Discord. Try searching for that

Get Tivimate app to play your IPTV streams.
Sparkle Player is also a great option and works much better than TiviMate when it comes to DVR. With TiviMate, if you are DVR'ing something, you have to wait for the recording to complete (if it even completes). With Sparkle Player, you can watch a recording in progress.
Both are pretty much the same when it comes to the look and features, although TiviMate has more options when it comes to EPG customization for channels.

Thanks for the help guys! I got everything set up and was streaming by Saturday. Longest part of the process was waiting on the funds to show up in my wallet and then figuring out how to add my playlist.
I've always heard about IPTV but never jumped in due to potential scam, reliability, usability, etc. I felt good enough about it after reading this thread and now feel silly for not doing it sooner.
Here's to many years of service

The main issue I run into with IPTV is the buffering which was about the same on two different services I've tried. None of my traditional apps buffer, but Tivimate will give me issues every now and then. I've tried with and without a VPN neither seems to work better than the other. I don't know if I'm just selecting the wrong location or if it's my services I've chosen, but I don't find a VPN to be very useful, or not for me at least. All that said, I pay $15 a month to watch whatever channel I want so it's worth a little headache.

The buffering, especially during sporting events, is the main reason i have not gone ahead and jumped into this. If someone has a vpn + service combo that doesnt buffer during games I'd be all ears.

Well my experience is traditional apps do buffer. I go to a friend's to watch games sometimes and he gets buffering with his expensive service. I think he just changed over to IPTV so we'll see next time I'm over there. As for IPTV buffering, I do get it but rarely and many times it's just a quick blip. The service I have has multiple channels for ESPN and all other channels so if I get a bad buffer I will switch over and that fixes it.

Jumping back into the fray here.
Did a 24 hour trial of smartiflix to figure out if I wanted to go through with this. Downloaded tivimate on my tv straight up (tcl running google) and seems to be running smooth. Am I legitimately running any risks of being throttled or anything by not having a vpn on cox internet? I’ve seen mixed answers online.
