Woah

What's really weird is that a few minutes after that post the tv was on screen saver and all of a sudden the colors came back and everything looked normal. I ran some errands and after turning the tv back on everything was washed out again. I let it sit for a few minutes so it would go back on screen saver and when resuming a Netflix movie the colors came back.
The picture is beautiful when it's working right but I am definitely going to swap it out.

I'm returning my 65. Big arse line in the middle. There is a crack in the bezzel. Looks like it was dropped. And it isn't from the shipping company. The box was clean.

The 55 I got was a brand new TV. Looks great

I bought the 55". Got it in and turned it on and tested fine. Son noticed a slight semi circle on the screen when it was black at the top portion - I said he was crazy. Then I noticed the entire top of the TV casing / plastic around the TV was warped in that same area where he saw the semi-circle. The box it came in was pristine, so I think it shipped from the refurbisher like this. Literally had a wave or warp in the entire TV on top left side.
I contacted Groupon and they took a few days and wanted pics but I am now scheduled with the shipper to get it picked up for a refund. I think I'll just go to Best Buy or Wal Marks or something for the replacement to this one - easier to deal with. Sucks.

What causes the line in the middle? My parents used to have a Vizio with a diagonal line down the middle. They never bought another Vizio again.

Tv hasn't been picked up yet. I spoke with shipping co Thursday and was told that I should get a call Monday to schedule pick up. Supposedly Groupon will refund my money when they receive confirmation that the tv is on the truck. To my knowledge it's not going to cost me anything to return it.
My credit card bills out on the 11 so I'm going to wait until the 12 to order again, maybe sooner if I see Groupon has issued the refund.

Has anyone found the best settings to use to calibrate the TV? I've found conflicting information on AVSforums and Rtings

65 inch delivered today.
I'm running the US Open even while I am gone.
No problems so far.
I ran LeMans on Amazon Prime earlier. It was a nice picture.
Anything I need to check?

I would run some 4K HDR video from Netflix and YouTube

Yes. Nothing will ever touch this price.
I spent 1500 on my first 55" a few years back. Last week I bought a 55 inch (not smart, she has a roku) for my daughter for $260.
I always giggle when I hear people say this price will NEVER be here again.
It's like when people pay 5 grand for a 4k tv...even thought their cable really doesn't have 4k programs.

Well, when talking about this specific TV, he's right. Sure, overall prices for the average TV drop just like any other electronics, but the high quality ones don't. This tv isn't you're basic run of the mill TV, and not all yearly models are created equal. Just compare this model to the new comparable one from this year
And it's not like 4K content isn't available anymore, so the people who spend the money for a nicer tv (still a lot less than 5 grand) I'm sure actually put it to use, especially with the HDR content noW

It's a freaking refurb TV. So let's compare it to other refurb model prices. And the the KS models (2016) were cheaper than the JS (2015) models. The KS model to model have more features and are the better displays.

Dammit.
I wonder how much I can get for my 60" Vizio?
Posted on 7/20/17 at 9:37 am to Hu_Flung_Pu
Was just looking at TV's yesterday. For watching sports and gaming on a ps4 pro, which TV is better? This Samsung or this Vizio?
