I am beyond frustrated with Best Buy
Bought a phone from them in June. The dreaded dead pixel and vertical green line appeared a few weeks ago. BUT I bought a 2 year protection plan.

Protected, right? Wrong.

They have now sent me a Verizon version of the phone THREE times. I take it back to the retail center in flowood. Nice as can be. They take it and order another one. The Packing slips give the right model number. However, the actual box and phone is the verizon version, which will NOT work on AT&T bands.


As Charlie Brown would say, AAAARRRRGGGHHHH!!!!!

So they got $300 of my money plus the protection plan money, and keep screwing me over. Bastards.

What should I do?

Bingo. Actually, i've been trying to replace my factory unlocked version, which will work on AT&T, T MObile, or other GSM carriers, but I need it to work with AT&T.

Go in and ask for a manager.

Explain the problem to the manager and request that the manager call the bridge and request assistance in fixing the problem.

(The bridge is Best Buy's employee support line; if there is an issue taking care of a customer's issue then the bridge should be contacted.)

Clearly there is an issue in Best Buy's process, and the employees just keep pushing the same buttons that do the same wrong thing. Someone has to step in and take ownership of the situation and get it fixed and calling the bridge would get them on that path.

When I cracked my Pixel I just ordered a replacement under the plan. Got the new phone two days later and porting everything over was a breeze. It almost made me want to spill my innermost sexual secrets to Google Assistant.

Is it a pixel? I think BB only sells the Verizon version, but you just put your attention sim card in and it works.

It will work, but you don’t have all of the att LTE bands

Did all that. No dice.

They sent me a fourth phone... and guess what? It is a ffriggin Verizon phone. I guess all they have are Verizon phones (model stv100-2) instead of the regular GSM phones they say they have on the website (STV100-1).

I can talk on the Verizon but only one of the LTE bands will work on AT&T . The rest of them are going to be 4G. Wonderful.

I do hope after this experience you never buy anything from Best Buy that you expect support on ever again. Best Buy is in the business of financing (HBHC) and selling warranties, not support.

Yeah I know. Actually all the band's will work but for one : 17. Doesn't have it and that's kind of important to AT&T
