Has the iPhone X caused anyone to think about going back to Android?

I've been with Apple since 2012 (iPhone 5). Before that I had a HTC Evo in 2010 and it was HORRIBLE. Burned me from android for years and I currently have an iPhone 6 since 2014 and it's time to upgrade.
Was looking forward to finally getting an iPhone with minimal bezels, wireless charging, oled screen etc. but am just not a fan of the X or the price. Losing Touch ID and that stupid notch at the top...
Thinking about going back to android. How has things changed (hopefully for the better) since 2010-2012? Never thought I would go back to android but the X has disappointed me big time.

Go try it out, why not. I'm doing the reverse, but when you have an SO that has been on Apple the entire time, it's not like it'll be a huge change for me.
I liked Android a lot, but 98% of my friends are on Apple and I want to try out the Apple watch, so I figured now is a good time to switch sides for a bit.

I've been on Iphone for about 6 years. I recently had to replace a broken 6 and decided to go with the google pixel...gave it 2 full weeks and couldn't get used to it. Returned it and swapped for an Iphone 7 and couldn't be happier. I'm iphone institutionalized.

No way. Ive been very happy with the iPhone 7 and dont expect the 8 or X to let me down

No, but it's making me think about switching back to the iphone X from Android.

The iPhone 7 is really good. I see no reason to upgrade to the 8 or X (especially) much less change phones.

Nope.
ETA: I have left Apple before though and am not opposed to doing so again. Just haven’t had a reason to yet.

Opposite for me. I was an apple user until last year. I absolutely love my S7 edge and was convinced I'd never go back. The new X and the apple watch 3 has me thinking twice. Wearables aren't useful for most people, but they are for me bc of my job. The new 3 is a game changer and I wish like hell it could work with my Android phone

I think the 3 is pretty cool but how is it a game changer? It's not like they introduced any new tech.

i had zero interest in the apple watch v1 or 2, however, the cellular radio, and ability to use the watch as a standalone device without your phone is a game changer.
the main appeal is still health and fitness oriented, but v3 has my attention.

If you're interested in the X. You'll probably going to need some accessories. Since it has a glass back you'll need a new otterbox. And then you're going to need some charging accessories. Since Apple isn't supplying wireless or fast-charging accessories in the box.

Ok i guess i see what you are saying. I just thought by game changer he meant they created something that hasnt been created before.
Watches with cellular signals have been out for about a year now right?

Why on earth doesn't apple just ditch the lightning cable in their phones already and go to straight usb-c?

I should have specified for me it is. I'm a female with small wrists. The only decent sized Droid smart watches don't offer the functions I need.

i really have no clue. i have a macbook pro, mac mini and iphone, so i really don't pay attention to anything android (i used to be an android user up until the iphone 6).
i've never even given the apple watch a second thought, up until now.

It was a game changer when Android and Tizen did it damn near 2 years ago. Now it's just keeping up with the Jones'.
