Just an FYI (especially for those who have google rewards credit stacking up), saw this on slickdeals just now.

1-, 3-, and 6-month subscriptions for $5, $15, and $30, respectively. You can stack them up to 5 years. I just got a years wort for $40 using $20+ of google play credit.

LINK

Just click on the one you want, send it to yourself and then add it to your account. Pretty awesome deal.

ETA: The prices for the 3- and 6-month packages have increased to $24.99 and $49.99.

Wait, if I already have Google Play Music and send this to myself, do I have to halt my current subscription? Or will it automatically deduct from this giftcard I send myself?

I'm confused.

It'll stop your previous payment method.

I bought a years worth and it said paraphrasing... "your account will resume regular billing on February 2017"

So it's really a must buy if this is something you're going to continue to use..

It's worth the money for YouTube Red alone. I forgot what it's like to see ads on youtube.

youtube red is included with google play music? i thought that was a separate product.

eta unfortunate they chose that name with redtube being so well established

(at least i've heard from a friend of a friend about a site called redtube)

Got it for a year and after my credit it cost $28.33.

ETA: Does ad free not work on the iOS youtube app?

Does YouTube red allow you to close out the YouTube app and still listen to whatever you're playing? If so, I'm in.

Are you sure you can send to yourself?
