Are there any "rumor" renderings that suggest the Pixel 3 will have a dedicated vibration switch on the side of phone, as the iPhone does?

For the life of me, I can't figure out why after 2 cycles of this phone, it does not. I simply do not care for the way this phone handles vibrating, ringing, media, and alarm settings.

Do any Samsung phones have this toggle switch? One Plus?

I've never seen an Android phone that had a physical switch to change from ring to silent to vibrate.

There is a toggle button in the quick settings grid, in case you haven't discovered that yet.

Me either but the Galaxy 7 worked pretty well. The way the pixel does this is terrible.

I was finally tempted to switch to the Pixel for the 3rd gen and then they give the XL version the deepest ugliest notch ever and it's getting blasted by everyone.

No thanks.

The One Plus 6 is the only Android phone I know of with that toggle

The Pixel 3 XL looks absolutely horrible. That notch is massive and there's still a huge bottom bezel. What in the hell were they thinking?

Front facing speakers.

Saw a leak that suggests the Pixel 3 and 3 XL will have wireless charging. Will be the first time for the Pixel phones.

I doubt it will.

My understanding is that Android P will make the physical volume buttons on phones only impact media volume. All other volume settings - ring/vibrate/etc. will be done by touch in the toolbar or in settings.

I could be wrong about that, but that is what I have taken from several insider previews of the betas.

I'm running the P beta on my Pixel XL. When I click the volume button up or down it brings up a sidebar with the media volume slider, a toggle button for ringer on/vibrate/mute, and a settings button to go into the full sound settings.

In the full sound settings, there's an option for "Shortcut to prevent ringing". Press power & volume up together can either set it to vibrate, mute, or do nothing. There's no shortcut to switch back.

Do you have the 104.5 ESPN radio app installed? If so, try uninstalling it.

I don't get how Google f'd up the design THIS BADLY. That notch and chin is horrendous and takes the phone back like 5 years in terms of design. I love my Pixel 2 XL and will happily stay with it. The only thing that can save the Pixel 3 is the camera (assuming they found a way to improve it even more)

depending on whether the camera is better, this might be my first GP..If not, I'll pick up an XL2 and be happy

Yeesh. I still have gen1 pixel and was considering going for a Pixel3 when released because I love my Pixel despite its massive bezels, but if that's really how it shakes out I think I might go with OP6. Google really loves its featureless bezels, for some reason.

You serious Clark? Doing it now.

You have got to be shitting me. It worked. I'm writing Google play to tell them they should remove then app from the store. The app is shitty as is and Gordy needs put a little of that Mercedes Benz money into the app.

That they'd rather their speakers be front facing and give up a little on the screen coverage. I, personally, agree with them.

Who the hell wants a 100% screen ratio when the speakers come out of the bottom of the phone. 100% screen ratio is not really THAT important that you completely frick over audio.

With that said, i hate notch designs so i will have no desire to get the 3xl. I'd consider the regular 3 but my 2xl is going strong so no real reason for me to upgrade.

Samsung does the best job here, their ear piece at the top also functions as a front facing speaker.

Slim bezel, no notch, front facing speaker.

Google has lacked in design ever since the Nexus line died and I hate it.

I have no issues with my 2xl design. The speakers are much bigger than an ear piece. They do cause bezels but they're still pretty small.
