Cutting the cord: Ethernet line cost

Trying to break away from Uverse by running PS Vue on multiple devices.
I'm thinking about running Ethernet 2 different rooms to run directly to Xbox One/Apple Tv and Roku in another room.
Anyone have any idea what I'm looking at for an electrician to run these lines? The good thing is both rooms border each other and share the same wall I will use.

Probably cheaper to get a badass wireless router.

My thoughts as well.
Also might have to pivot and use Sling TV over PS Vue. Can't get Fox Sports OK apparently, ie no Thunder games

Did you do it yourself?

Ran three lines in my house. Went to local electronics store here in NOLA and bought 50' Ethernet cables with ends already attached. Bought a low voltage ring, cut hole in wall, went into attic and drilled hole in top plate of wall, dropped wire down and plugged into modem...fairly simple.

Just buy some powerline networking adapters. Turns any electrical outlet into an ethernet jack.

Power line has come a long way with speeds. I use two sets in my house and it's running HD just fine.

These are great, but if you're in an older building with poorly regulated power distribution, they can go bad fairly quickly.

Not to mention it basically turns your entire house into an antenna broadcasting all of your internet traffic.

Only if someone A) has physical access to tap your lines and B) you have an older powerline adapter that doesn't encrypt point to point.
Ya, technically there are probably systems that can sniff RF emanations from your powerlines. But they'd have to be VERY close to your house, they'd be VERY noticeable, and more importantly...anyone who could afford that equipment isn't going to care about what you're streaming on Netflix or what pr0n you're watching. They're after bigger fish.

If you have access to the attic and will be making the drop near another outlet, it's pretty easy.
I'd recommend monoprice for any wiring/outlet needs.

Home Mesh wireless
I have a Amplifi Home mesh network. I paid $349 and its the best money I ever spent. My house is 3k Sq Ft living with an upstairs bedroom and I can cover all of it with 2 antennas. I get solid speeds can control the system from my iphone.
My kids all stream from their smart TV's with no issues. Son has a Xbox connected as well.

I ran the wire myself but I live where there r basements so it was easy to run it. Along with the ethernet I ran coax from an antenna in the attic. Did it all myself not a big deal

Powerline network adapters that meet the HomePlug AV spec use 128 bit AES encryption. Just change the default password.

I have a home theater powerline for the living room and it's very solid and reliable. Mine is fairly old, so I'd imagine that they have some now that are better.
You can always run ethernet lines to other rooms, if you like that more. I wouldn't pay someone to do it. YouTube it, and you'll see it's not that hard to get in your attic and crawl around.
