Cox is now listing it's data add on packages under the "need more data" under your plan.

500 GB additional is $29.99 more

Unlimited is $49.99 more

Cutting the cord will get tougher and tougher.

frick Cox. This is a blatant tax on streamers that brings their revenue back up to where they want it whether you pay for their TV package or not.

Well it's the smart thing for them to do....for now. We'll see how the market reacts

The market can't react in places Cox is the only major player in town.

It's the same situation everyone was in before cord cutting was viable from a bandwidth standpoint.

Either you decide to pay for the services, or you don't. Typically, you have 1 or 2 options.

Cox isn't doing anything "new" that's wrong. I think a lot of people just poorly set their expectations.

Sad thing is once my grace period is up, I'll more than likely end up opting for the extra 500GB at least. Cox could cut the bullshite and just say customers who bundle TV can have unlimited data. In fact, now that these extra data packages are available I wouldn't be surprised if they are negotiable.

I can't wait for AT&T to finish bringing fiber to the places they said they would last year. What I really want is Fios, ATT and Cox to be available everywhere. Options would be good for the "market"

Wont they still have the 1tb cap?

Looks like it would still be cheaper for me to just switch to AT&T Fiber. Hell, dropping Cox for ATT's 1000 Fiber plan (unlimited data) would probably save me $....at least for the 24 month contract period. Not sure how much that plan jumps up in price after the contract is up, though.

Priced where if you stream might as well get the $49.99 package. 500 gigs won't last long with a full family streaming.

I'm not even a cord cutter and pay like 300 a month already and easily hit 1 tb, especially downloading Xbox one games

One Xbox one game can be 100 gb alone.. that one game is 10% of the entire 1 Tb

They should give a discount to people who bundje, especially when they offer their tv services via internet streaming as well
