I hate on you appletards for fun and usually just in jest, but it seems y'all's theory of, apple will protect you from your government, might be as true as Sasquatch.

You freedom lovers might want to rethink your loyalty to apple. While google isnt perfect, Android is opened sourced and you can get clean, non controlled versions of something like this were to happen here.

Yea I’ve been very sour on Apple lately as they turned off airdrop for Chinese residents of iPhones, they’re threatening Twitter/Elon musk to yank Twitter off the App Store and they have recently been busted with some Id value that apparently tracks back to your Apple ID
They’re as bad, if not worse, than google on spying. They’re as corrupt and shorty as everyone. Id threaten to ditch them but not sure google is any better.

Apple relies on China for production
I've always used Android phones, have never had any apple products but Google is sketchy too as we all know

Didn’t someone just post Google was getting sued for breaking Louisiana law for taking personal data? Doesn’t seem like supporting either is in anyone’s best interest.

1. Apple policy is to comply with laws in any jurisdiction in which it operates. Xi’s word is as good as law in China.
2. Apple has a duty to shareholders and China can and will turn off the iPhone, MacBook, iPad, etc “faucet” without hesitation if Apple didn’t comply with a government request. Would take years to recover and move all that supply chain elsewhere.
They don’t really have a choice here lol

You say get a Google phone and use a clean rom, but I mean you still need to use Google services or else you severely handicap the phone. You really are damned no matter what you pick as far as shitty companies. The “do no evil” days are long gone.

What I mean to say is that Apple is an extremely profitable and highly calculated business. Their #1 priority is making money, and they are one of the best at it. So they will gladly hide behind those policies and comply with the Chinese government because they want to make money more than anything else, and I’d do exactly the same in their shoes.

Same here, I'm a Droid guy, but I am under no illusion that Google is any better than Apple. Both make their stuff in China and both are slaves to the Chinese government.
I mean this is what we should have expected when we outsourced almost 100% of manufacturing to China. They own us now.

I think there is a different subtext... Companies will always act to minimize expenses and maximize prices. Good.
However, the ANTIFA and leftie f@#*@ that use their Chinese produced phones (Apple, Google, etc.) to film their TikTok stupidity is where the blame lies. Consumers determine how capitalistic operations act, and the lefties have clearly said they don't f*!$ care, as long as they have a good camera on their phone.
