I'm getting the 13. But I still have an iPhone X right now and need an upgrade before next year. I guess if the 13 doesn't wow me and I find a 12 on sale for cheap I might go that route and then get the 14 next year if it seems like a big improvement.

Yea that would be nice. It's just hard to hold off upgrading for another year based off a rumored feature. Having no notch would be cool, but the most important things to me are improved battery life and camera quality.

One of the main rumored improvements is in the 5G radios. The 12 was the first Gen iPhone with 5G

The "iPhone 13" will be a significant upgrade from your X's camera. I had an X and upgraded to the 12 pro max last year and noticed a significant difference in photo quality and features.

I need to buy my wife a new iphone. She has the 7 plus. Should I get the 11 now or wait until the 13 drops and get the 12?

Depends on how she uses her iPhone. The Iphone 12 camera is much better than the 11. If all she does is text/calls and uses the normal apps, I would say stick with the 11. But if she uses her camera a lot, go to the 12.

Don't care about the phone...I just want the new Apple Watch because I've had the series 3 since its initial release...Been waiting for a new design. However, rumors are the release could be postponed due to shortages.

That’s probably your best bet. The 13 will probably be the exact same thing for double the price.

My wife is going to make the jump to the 13 from the 7 plus. IMO might as well get the best possible now if you hold on to the phone long term

Think I'm really just looking forward to new apple watch, however, sure wish they'd get a more "pro" version or something round/rugged like the Garmin's.
I wear an apple watch and love the integration and all but even the largest (44mm?) apple watch still looks dainty.
ETA: I fully recognize that none of this is planned... but 1 day...
