Any way to tweak Google algorhythms?

Goes for YouTube too. It's becoming increasingly irritating.
I know the old saying was, "it's based on your prior searches"; but that doesn't seem to be the case on some things.
Example 1- I recently got into shooting black powder revolvers, which are replicas of the old guns of the West before cartridges became in style. These are made by Italian companies, currently just Uberti and Pietta, used to be several more manufacturers. Just for sake of knowledge, these are not covered by current firearms laws, they can be shipped straight to your house (same as a pre-1899 antique firearm).
I do a google search looking for reviews on Model 1851 Navy revolvers, which company is considered best, and by the bottom of page 1 I'm getting the suggestions such as "can felons own or carry a black powder revolver?".
I didn't ask that. I'm not a felon and have never queried on that, or anywhere close to that. Not interested in that. I have specified "Uberti vs Pietta", vs Armi San Marcos, vs Armi San Paulo/Euroarms ( other, now defunct manufacturers), keep getting the "can felons have them" question suggestion.
It's like asking about a midsize pickup truck, Ford vs Chevy vs Toyota, and getting "can DWIs get you in trouble" suggestions.
Example 2, looking at it today- I asked "how long has the US and Taiwan had friendly relations", and by the end of page 1 results I'm getting stuff on "which countries are friendly to LGBT". Again for the record I'm not into that and have never searched that once. I'm looking for military/diplomatic ties, could not care less what their policies are regarding sexual preferences. Didn't ask, don't care.
On both these topics, I'm pretty certain there are LOTS of online resources that could provide detailed information... hobbyist sites for the revolvers, plenty of information about world politics. Google doesn't seem inclined to show me those.
Which search engines are better, that focus on the typed query, without extrapolating?

I'm over 50, with family and kids, and a long search history on stuff I'm interested in- surplus firearms, sports (American, mostly college and NFL football). SF and fantasy action movies such as Conan, LOTR, SW, etc. Those are my subscriptions on YT, and the bulk of my other forum memberships are firearms, Linux/Android, or auto sites. Couple subscriptions to computer art stuff going back to the 90's (GIMP, etc). A few photography sites from when I was actively using legacy prime lenses on mirrorless m43 cameras.
Tigerdroppings is actually the closest thing to social media I do, I don't do facebook or twitter. Reddit, only because that's the only way to interact with the AR9 guys.
Not sure where all this other crap is suddenly coming from, seemed to start when AI became prominent. Like it's trying to guide me, and I'm saying NO, I want to search what I typed out. Not some other underlying motive in this.
Is there any way to get rid of the AI suggestions, and just go back to pre-AI google?

I wonder, I do tend to browse TD a lot. I leave a tab open most of the time, and I do read Political Talk and the OT board...
is Google reading those topics (all the inflammatory threads) and adding them into "my profile"? Like, a thread bitching about LBGT on the Poli board, and Google thinks I'm interested in that topic?

I basically keep a burner YouTube account for random searches. If I am looking up some specific how-to or some dumbass video someone suggested, I use the burner. This way my main account algorithm isn't effected.
