Why not run the speakers all in mono? Uniform coverage is you primary goal since people will be scattered.

Wireless sub kit from svs works right out the box! Didn’t even have to run setup through onkyo to get it right. That little extra bass adds so much and now the cabinets don’t shake because it’s bouncing off the stained concrete floors. I’m just gonna wait to the wife to get home to see where she actually wants it placed but again, it’s amazing so far.

I don't know as much as others (as I've admitted) but those are not large speakers and should be easy to drive with any "average" AVR.

The size of the speaker has nothing to do with how difficult they are to drive. My Dynaudio Special Forty's are what you'd call bookshelf speakers but they present a 6 ohm load at 86db sensitivity. They need power and a lot of it to perform and boy do they perform with the right amount of power.

Awesome, love it when a plan comes together

I’d still run the calibration once it’s in its final spot. It will change the delay.

Any idea if the SVS wireless kit will work if I have 1 sub wired and 1 sub not? Will there be a delay on the wireless one?

Have 1 sub now and looking to add a second once I finish renovations.

Why do you have 5 speakers in your front range? (Just noticed that)

Wife hates the sub placement inside the house right now because I cant run a wire that long so its in the shelving system. I would love to find a wireless to work with my onkyo receiver inside.

Rocket fish wireless subwoofer kit. Hasn't failed me in 5 years once.

There will be a delay in the wireless one for sure. Does your reciever do .2 or only .1? If you can do a true dual sub setup the avr will adjust the delay on them separately. If you only have 1 sub out there might be another way. I haven’t fooled with it yet but I have mini dsp unit that can do all sorts of tuning and Maybe adjust delay. Not sure if you can do one sub wire in and 2 out. You might...I just haven’t looked st any of the programming possibilities yet. It’s a rabbit hole

The 2 upper ones I have set as front heights. Not as overhead for Atmos. They should really be up a little more and angled down to be correct but I am limited so that will have to do. I was content with my 3 front and 4 rear setup but when the cabinet got built it dawned on me my reciever had 2 more unused amps and I could add those upper 2 super easy. Haven’t re ran Audyssey yet so they are on but not tuned up yet.

My rocketfish set never “failed” but they both always had a popping feedback no matter what I did. The svs has been perfect.

Yeah my new receiver has 2 sub outs. I may have to steal your idea in a year or 2. Currently I have some old infinity beta bookshelves wall mounted and center for my fronts with a hsu mk12 sub on a 3.1 system. Just bought some Paradigm in walls to replace my bookshelves and a new center to match but haven’t set them up yet.

Nice those hsu always had good reviews. And I’m a fan of paradigm. I had a old paradigm sub around 2000 but the model escapes me. I tried a pair of rhythmic FV15HP behind my sofa first. While they sounded good they could not hit the levels I was after in this size area. Not sure what do with them now...sell or put someplace else...just running out of spots

Probably could still have the boxes and have access to pallets fork lifts and freight companies. Not sure yet...kinda waiting to see how things play out in my garage with the JBLs. They hit the high notes massively better than the svs tubes but those tubes dig deep. I’m told I can boost the shite out of the low end on the JBLs.

Sorta have a problem if you can’t already tell

My shop doesn’t have subs or audio...but I have a old onkyo receiver (circa 1998) and some old b&w 601 s2 sitting in there not hooked up.

I love feeding speaker power. I like big racks of power hungry equipment. I remember when the craze of the bose lifestyle sets were hitting. People trying to hid it all under a basket I want to feel the heat radiating off it.

Just buy a receiver that has "party mode" or "all zone stereo". I think Yamahas and Denons have that feature.

I had this issue using an Emotiva processor and a pair of Epik Empires.
