Saw that as well and yeah he can pass. Basically what the Scuffed guys were saying after the U20 tournament. Class on the ball just worry about his lack of athleticism on defense

He’s super slow. Maybe it’s because his teammates are better with Philly but he looked too slow for the U20s. He actually looked better against full pros.

we can second guess 2 years from now, but as of today I have a really uneasy feeling about the team, and Brooks specifically, whether he’s on the plane to Qatar or not

Gregg discussed it pretty openly with Herc Gomez yesterday ( LINK). Basically he isn't comfortable playing a high line with Brooks.

You feel uneasy about the team because Brooks isn't there?
He's probably still one of our top 5 CB's, but even if he was getting called in, I don't think I'd want him starting. He hasn't been good for club or country for over a year now.
Maybe there is something personal to why Brooks is no longer getting called in, but based on what Gregg said in that Futbol Americas interview, I can see the argument for not calling in Brooks.

Brooks does give you a great plan B option though if you went to a 3 man backline. He could be in the center and be your distributor and flank him with 2 athletic CBs.

Sam vines started Antwerp’s league opener. Nice to see that. There is certainly a spot in Qatar for an in form LB to back up Robinson.
