This ref better start showing cards or it’s going to get out of hand.

These two teams don’t give a single frick about a stern talking to

No lie, the past two decades they've been dog shite. Of course Azteca factors pretty heavily into their success.

I hate Mexico with every fiber of my being, but Raul Jimenez is worthy of that goal. Love that guy as a player and he seems to be a good dude too.

Add to that, he had that head injury that was scary as hell and he wasn’t sure he’d be able to play again when it happened. Just a deserving dude to have a moment like that in a WC in his own country’s most storied venue.

Mexico are handling the high press perfectly. They came into this very well prepared.

A back line of Pacho, Hincapie and Ordonez is top top class but Mexico is playing some great shite.

Germany lost to these counts
Eh they clinched the group before the Ecuador match. They rotated a decent number of players

Ecuador is 1 Mexico goal away from 4 Cup games equaling their conceded total from their 18 CONMEBOL qualifiers

The bill was always going to come due with how poor their attack is, but these guys are 1A/1B with Korea for disappointment of the tournament. Pathetic showing when it matters most

Ecuador got lucky they played Germany in game three. Otherwise they would already be home with how they’ve played this tournament

It looks bad now, but how hilarious would a Mexican choke job be here?
Better chance of that kid scoring a worldie and then we have to hear about it for the next 18 years.

This left winger for Ecuador is skinning the Mexican right back every time he gets the ball. They need to keep feeding him

I’m just saying a late own goal to lose in stoppage time would be peak comedy

I may be insane but I don't think Ecuador is out of this.

Mexico has 2 chances 2 goals. Ecuador just gotta pull 1 back and Mexico will start panicking.

Ecuadors back 5 is probably a top 10 back 5 in international soccer. Just gotta find something going forward

Those little flick passes and deflections by Mexico have been impressive.

I’m curious. Does Ecuador not have a midfield?

He cracked his skull in a match a few years ago and now wears that padding.
