Doesn't he have some American tie too?

I could've sworn I read somewhere that he could've played for us.

We'll see shortly if they make proper MIDWAY adjustments during this battle.

I thought it was weird all Fox talked about was the Orange army in the pregame like they were gonna take the stadium over when there's clearly a huge Japanese contingent here.

During this water (hydration) break. You have to wonder if the Japanese will try to find their inner Admiral Yamamoto and plot a strategic design here with more specialized tactics.

They know they need to strike early and effectively. A veritable sucker punch, if you will. If that punch doesn’t land they’ll get ground down and will have to rely on suicidal attacks to stay in it.

Not to jump ahead of the current game but Ivory Coast vs. Ecuador should be a pretty good one too right?

They are playing with fire (a la March 1945) with allowing so many chances in the bento box.

Didn’t realize they had an American born goalie.

The Dutch players look like they brought in some H1Bs to fill the roster

History trivia:

Holland is the only country that Japan would trade with up until around 1853 when the US Navy shelled Edo harbor.

The US attacked Japan 90 years before Pearl Harbor.

Most Americans are unaware of that.
