Yeah, the shameless commercialism was pretty bad leading up to the tournament, but can we all agree the threads on here and all the doom-predicting about this being a disaster with empty stadiums was a gross overreaction?

It has already been a really enjoyable cup to me. I'm into it as much as I've been since probably 1998 cup. Guess a lot has to do with USA result, but there's been some good games so far.

I haven’t been able to watch every match, but the stadiums have been full for the ones I’ve watched.

Germany may still end up winning by 3-4 goals but I hope people discrediting the win against Paraguay because it was “just Paraguay” (mostly Europeans) are watching lol
