It’s a weird play. No he shouldn’t have “dove” but if someone is coming in full speed you also don’t want your foot planted when they hit it that’s career ending. If anything he should have gone down with the ending slight bump and got right back up immediately and helped the other guy up if there was no initial contact. Thats much more forgivable and probably not a yellow for either players

At this World Cup? Probably no one. He has been on a heater.

Overall though, I’d say the back line players and the keeper are their best. Akanji is probably their most important player.

If Arg doesn't get it now, they'll get the winner in ET.

Let's get ready for it

Can’t wait for Zlatan’s take on the dive. Just come out and call Landon a pussy.

I agree with the red card. I don’t like the suspension for the next game. That seems a bit harsh. Maybe they could use the 1/2 game suspension like NCAA.

SEC style: you're suspended for the first two drives

At this point the next game won’t matter as the Argentina 2 goals in ET seems inevitable

A second yellow could very well use a little bit of grey area as only serving a first half suspension if it’s in the second half. Straight reds are obviously something way different.

I wouldn’t be opposed to them looking into that change it’s extremely harsh

FIFA uses this to punish the non-blue-bloods.

How bad are England hoping Switzerland wins this in penalties?

Every ball bouncing towards Argentina. That’s not rigged it’s just eventually skill.

That kids dad was smart...nudging the ball down so staff might not know where it was and the kid could keep a world cup ball.

Feels like its just a matter of time. Going to be hard for Switzerland to constantly defend against Argentina and not concede eventually

This has only been 5 minutes. Switzerland has 25 more minutes of this to deal with

If any team can do it, it's Switzerland.
