These barely offsides calls are just depressing. I want to like soccer. Why are they penalizing offense beating defense.

That's like saying flagging a false start is penalizing the offense for beating the defense. Or a defender jumping early is being penalized for beating the offense.

Man all you have to do is describe some dumb lsu game where there’s no line of scrimmage and all the WR get to start in the endzone. Every play is a Hail Mary. Probably more touchdowns and chaos but the game would be stupid. All they can say is yeah maybe but soccer is still gay and leave it at that

Think of the pass being the snap and line of scrimmage the defender. Offensive player can’t be past the LoS at the snap.
