Pretty entertaining final. Congrats to Spain.

I only watched from the missed penalty to the end. Must have been some entertaining moments before then. I never thought England were close to tying. A lot of hopeful long balls and big dumb crosses. 1 legit chance from an impossible angle which the Spain keeper saved.

Spain had the better chances through the end.

This is basically what I said about the US team all tournament.

Spains goalscorer learned her father died an hour after the game
Terrible

Also Spain is the current U17 and u20 world cup holders. They are set to be the top dog for a while

That ref is so biased its comical. She let Colombia get away with everything and now selectively calls calls one way essentially. The missed penalty for the tackle at the top of the 18 against the English striker was awful.

And half the team sat out the tournament protesting and they still won

Wanted the coach to resign, and he went ahead and won the whole damn thing.

He died an hour after the game or he died earlier and she found out after the game?

Hopefully the latter. Still bad but at least the game would be the last thing he ever saw.

From a technical standpoint they looked outstanding

And since in the women’s game they don’t close down space as fast, Spain’s technical superiority makes it even easier to ping the ball around on teams.

As long as college is the main pipeline for USWNT, they are fricked and way behind the power curve.

They still want him gone and now FIFA is involved.

And now the coach’s mom has gone on a hunger strike in protest of how her son is being “unfairly treated”

Love how after one of the more interesting WWC with parity, the biggest story is the Spain kiss
