FIFA 2003 - I played striker and idolized Henry. My bitch arse friend liked Arsenal, too, and always called dibs when playing FIFA.

One day I picked Chelsea as the opponent and wrecked his shite with Lampard scoring a hat trick. After that I played with Chelsea exclusively. Then we started watching games where/when we could. I still loved Henry, but it was more fun to talk shite to each other when we didn't support the same team.

Realized that it was stupid easy to score with headers on FIFA 09 or 10.

So obviously I found the tallest player in the game... Peter Crouch. Got familiar with all the Spurs players, and eventually started watching their games on TV. Particularly enjoyed watching Scott Parker.

Then Bale scored a hat-trick against Inter in the CL and I've been hooked since.
Weirdly, being knocked out of a CL spot because Chelsea beat Bayern in the Champions League final also cemented me as a fan. The club seemed to fit my unofficial motto of "A day late and a dollar short."

I could feel the atmosphere and passion at Anfield through the television. That’s pretty much it. Liverpool were 7th or 8th in the table at the time. I had no knowledge of their past glory. I could just tell it was a special club. It was actually watching a match against City, the precise day that I chose Liverpool. I recall getting chills watching a goal celebration and the aftermath. Knew it right then. It was like a switch flipped on

Arsenal- bc growing up they were always the first option to play with on FIFA bc of alphabetical reasons. Simple.

If I could re-choose a team to support I would probably pick a side that could either plausibly get a Europa League spot or get relegated on any given year.

Those seem like a fun ride.

Seems like an odd way to say that you wish you would have chosen to support United.

My first Fifa was 06 and Rooney was on the cover so I went ahead and played with Man United. Ronaldo became my favorite player and I have been a United fan since.

Hated soccer my entire life. Broke my ribs playing in a basketball game and while home recovering, watched “All or Nothing with Manchester City”. Binged it in a day and immediately got into soccer. So yes, Man City is my favorite team but now I’m obsessed with soccer. Favorite other teams are Chelsea, Southampton, Real Madrid, Athletico Madrid (Was a Greizmann fan) and Inter Milan. I try watching River Plate and any other derby from other leagues. Thanks to you all I am up on Copa 90 and their Derby Days And Comments Below are my favorite shows.
Spent countless dollars on MCFC kits and still going. Trying to plan a trip to the Ethiad.

played fifa 2003 all of the time with manchester united (Ruud van Nistelrooy GOAT) and I've been a glory hunting plastic bandwagon red devil ever since.

Became a huge fan of dortmund because they are the kryptonite to bayern and reus is my favorite player/plays my position.

I have said my piece on this topic before. I don't follow my teams like I once did but hope they win, with the exception of Fulham which I do follow and is basically my one club now.

First club was Hellas Verona, climbed the fence to get into lo Stadio Marc Antonio Bentegodí to watch them play AS Roma in June of 1984. That following year they won their one and only scudetto. Along came México 1986 which I followed fairly closely listening to games on the radio during the day. Started reading magazines from abroad, this was late 1980s when AC Milan were the squad to beat and the Dutch had that great run in Europa 1988.

Italia 1990 and the American Boy Scouts went to Italy and got owned, and yet, only Walter Zenga's arse kept the match vs. Italy from ending in a 1-1 draw.

Due to reading foreign magazines, trying to follow the Yanks Abroad, and agonizingly slow adoption of TV coverage, pulled for clubs with American players early 1990s, saw documented the advent of the Premier League, followed by my own anticipation for MLS after 1994. Initially a Dallas Burn fan, still have fond memories of Jason Kreis.

But then, 2002, Eddie Lewis goes to second division Fulham, and so does Marcus Hahanemann...they get promoted and before long, there are Carlos Bocanegra and Brian McBride with him. A club with THREE YANKS and ONLY ONE is a 'keeper? I think I have found my club. Then Eddie Johnson goes over, then Clint Dempsey! O.M.G. yes.

Casey Keller follows, as well, there was an afternoon, there in 2007 during the Great Escape season, and Keller was in goal, with Bocanegra, Johnson, Dempsey and McBride all on the field at the same time. Fulham for life!

I once thought about supporting Tigres bc of LSU, but had to disqualify them for being Mexican. Don’t you call me a Landon Donovan.

Cruz Azul was my favorite Mexican team growing up on the border. Conejo Perez and Paco Palencia TYFYS

River Plate because they used to show many games when FSEspanol came out, the uniforms, and those early-mid 2000s teams were STACKED with future studs.

Hearts because my mom is from Edinburgh and said all her Hibs friends were trashy

Marseille because gfy

When I was 4 the best player in my primary school was a Villa fan so I assumed by being a Villa fan I too would be the best player.

It worked up until I went to secondary school where I quickly realised I was not.

Spurs

I had one coworker who was an Arsenal fan and one was a Chelsea fan, so it seemed legit at the time.

Then at the time of the 2016 election, the Chelsea fan (a Hillary supporter) asked why I would support Spurs after knowing they were founded by Jews, to which I then had to explain to him that Trump supporters were not Nazis.
