Why are Norway so inept at the International level?

You've got Haaland and Sørloth scoring bunches of goals for their clubs, and Odegaard availble in midfield. Surely there are other names I am forgetting.

For all those guys, there's probably 7 dudes playing hoof ball in League 1. Not really conducive to great success.

Haaland is a great player but it’s easy to score goals against overmatched opponents with top world class players setting you up. Not so easy against opponents of similar ability or a bunch of mediocre players around you.

They have some guys in the youth system who are dogs, including Oscar Bobb at Man City. They could be good for the 2030 World Cup.

I dont know the playing time at their clubs, but the lineup from their last match vs Slovakia

Just looking at the qualifiers.

They couldn’t beat Spain and Scotland. They beat all the other teams you would think they would beat.
