Given the team you support... that's kind of awesome.

Haha yeah, my theory is that we are actually cousins and he changed it his last name to be more American once he knew he has gonna be a professional soccer player.

We need a sticky ground rules thread for the poster who swamp the board.

This board was born from the original World Cup Board. I look forward to the traffic.

no no before that we used to clutter the MSB to the point they bitched about giving us the WC board then making it SB.

We used to ruin saturday morning during football season with soccer threads. Me and Bhoy arguing over Rangers/Celtic

Can we immediately ban anyone that starts a thread with scores in the title?

Kickoffs are still noon EST and 3 PM EST, when *everybody* is at work.

No scores in thread titles, period.

Exactly. I have to work 8-5 during the week. The only games I'm taking off early for are the USA games.

It seems counter productive to check the soccer board during the day if you're trying to not find out what happened and watch the game tape delayed later in the day.

Even with the no scores in the title rule that doesn't keep threads about the game from being started afterwards that clearly reveal what happened in their thread titles.

With all the new posters I'm sure that there will be spoilers even though regular posters here are respectful enough to avoid them.

Still see absolutely no need to suspend one of this board's best rules just to have a score in a thread title when 1 click to a thousand websites can get one the score updated more precisely.

Agreed. There needs to be a sticky with the no spoiler rule. Just respect the fricking rule man. Jeeze Louise.

Yup. Just by reading the threads you will have an idea on how the game is going. Also, I'm sure most people here would be tracking the game on their phones if they aren't near a tv.

In honor of the world cup and this board, I believe it's a good idea to relive this thread
