England
Wales
Germany

Heritage from all places and took German for 4 years in high school/college. The 2002 World Cup was my first experience watching soccer; I was 14. Woke up every morning at like 5 am to catch the games.

I vividly remember being mad about the final...I don't like Brazil.

Always been an England supporter. (I was obsessed with Michael Owen in 98') I remember being upset when they failed to qualify for the 94' World Cup. I was hoping that if the US wasn't playing in Orlando, I would have a shot at seeing England. I was lucky enough to attend all the games in Orlando and became a fan of the Netherlands that way. So, England and Holland. (I did get to see the US play Australia in Orlando in the summer of 92'. However, they lost 1-0)

Spain because of heritage, and Germany because of marriage heritage (also became a Bengals fan... )

Now Denmark has joined that list because I spent last summer there, loved it, and even got to to see FC Kobenhavn and Lyngby BK in a couple scrimmages while I was over there.

what're the odds that literally the only two people in human existence to ever utter those words are both in this thread?!

Italy, Germany=ancestry
Ireland, Poland=cultural affinity

African teams for their play, well, some of them; and, being friends with a number of Africans

Was sort of an Oranje fan from 1988, but have real disagreements with current Dutch culture.
I had the privilege of being in the Cotton Bowl for that epic quarter-final against Brazil in 1994. Game ended 3-2 to Brazil, with all five goals coming in the last 20 minutes.

Nice. They've only collapsed 3 or 4 times, I have a really good feeling about this Russia though
