Yeah. At the end of the day this is true. And I guess I would be a lot more happy having actually gone through the lows of the team.

I just fricking hate bandwagoners.

Me too, but if for whatever reason, we were to win the world cup, the literal last thought on my mind would be about bandwagoners.

I totally feel you on that.. but for the WC, I'd make an exception.

Also, for a sport that needs to desperately grow in the US, bandwagoners are probably a great thing. How many "bandwagoners" do you think tuned in after the Slovenia comeback and how many more after the LandyCakes winner?

good points, probably a good bit.

damn, this thread has me daydreaming now.
Barring major injuries, the squad we are bringing to Brazil next summer will be imo, the deepest, most talented group we've ever had. This past qualifying campaign had displays of very attractive and attacking football, we looked like a completely different team. oh, and we did it all without our most game-changing player, Mr. Landon Donovan.
Am I saying we are going to win the WC next summer? Absolutely not, but assuming we avoid group of death scenario, I think we can make some real noise, and be a dark horse that makes a run to the quarters or beyond. The defense will keep growing and getting better, and the spine and attacking is set, I cant wait for next summer.

It would create a lot of bandwagoners but hey it will fill up the stadiums and hopefully give a boost to MLS and youth soccer.
