He will actually try and hold the ball instead of playing off of our opponents.
We shouldn't see any long ball and pray shite anymore.

He plays guys in the positions they should be playing.

He likes to kick the ball into their net and stop them from kicking the ball into our net
But for real...

I thought "boom ball" was a staple of the USMNT well before Klins...

The thing is, is that with Jurgen it was literally just kick the shite out of it and pray. Arena will play to the team's strengths. If it's to counter and kick long then we will do that, but it will likely be more orchestrated compared to whatever the frick we have been doing.

Arena is great at working with the players he has instead of trying to shoehorn a style of play that doesn't suit his teams. A lot of people forget that the LA Galaxy were the last place team in MLS when Arena took over from Ruud Gullit in 2008, even with prime LD and David Beckham on that team. The next year he had them in MLS Cup, and by 2011 they were the juggernaut of MLS.
He isn't perfect, but he gets the most out of what he has more times than not.

It was, but Arena plays to his teams' strengths.
In 06 and 2010, we were outmatched on the field, so we adjusted our tactics accordingly.
Now, fast-forward six years, and we are now on-par with the vast majority of our competitors in the talent field. And, his players won't hate him, so he'll get more out of them.
I honestly believe we win the Hex due to motivation, tactics, and playing our players in their natural position.

If we get on a roll and win the next 3 games with confidence, then get a result in Mexico, I'll believe this to be possible

It definitely could happen. It would take reeling off several wins out of our remaining hex schedule. It's totally doable though. We have better players than almost everyone we play, by a lot.
The best thing following a new change in direction is that it tends to bring out the best in the players who are trying to prove a point to the new manager. I'm excited to see how it all goes down.

He will prob just get more out if the players. Which still sucks because you'd think playing for the national team would be enough.
Not trying to be mean, but he will dumb it down for the players. Hopefully he can get through to guys like Bradley.

Then I don't want to hear any complaints when he plays Lleget as DM

We just need to be realistic. Don't expect us to reinvent the wheel. We'll have a simplified playing style with more clearly defined roles. That's what you should be happy about.

I'm really interested to see what Arena does with Pulisic.

Hopefully finds us an actual solid Left back, Move Fabs to LM or RM and let Pulisic play CAM and possibly Julian Green at the opposite wing

I know he's a winger for BVB, but he's the closest thing to a true 10 we've had in years.
ETA: Will we finally see a true 4-4-2 diamond from the US? I think it's a possibility, especially with the way Wood and Altidore play together. Bradley/Jones and Pulisic in the center.

How do you envision that diamond looking?
