This club season is almost over. I would watch the World Cup and see which players you like from there. Of course, you run the risk of a player you like getting sold

just follow players, not teams, like me

Apparently there is, there is a whole legion of Liverpool fans who supposedly chose them when they sucked.

It was just a total coincidence they happened to be, historically, one of the biggest clubs in England and Europe.

Let's be honest though, if someone didn't grow up in the UK or anywhere near the UK, they were probably just another team to some of their American fans. It's not like they grew up surrounded by Liverpool carrying a big name.

But frick Liverpool anyways.

shite right after i graduated HS, they went fricking undefeated.

Arsenal had a 8 year stretch when they could have been argued the best club in england.

You would have to be completely obtuse not to know the name Liverpool and that they were a big club.

I knew virtually nothing about club soccer before the 06 WC, only got to see the occasional champs league game on ESPN, but I certainly knew the name Liverpool carried some weight.

WSE, and others, have already said all that needs to be said on the discussion. We're pretty much all bandwagon fans some people just can't admit it for some reason.

trendy hipster pick

"O i picked them when they were down"

Lulz Liverpool is and always will be a juggernaut.

Its pretty obvious who in this thread doesn't know their club history or english soccer history in general.

Untied, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal all have huge international followings as well with City now(which might be more than in England )

Yes Liverpool and Dortmund are the 2 trendy "I'm not a front runner but really I am" picks. Far far far worse than just picking ManU and being done with it.

Dortmund has no where near the history Liverpool does. But yes people are now picking them to be anti Bayern but there are many more clubs to pick who actually hate Bayern.

I started liking Dortmund b/c of Rosicky and ill admit that fully.

I disagree with this. I think geographical proximity being necessary is the bullshite part of a die hard fan. With the ability to watch almost any game from anywhere now, I see no problem with liking a non-hometown side.

Then again, I like all my teams because they are my dad's teams and none are very close to where I have ever lived.

Sheriff Tiraspol. Dominant club, however they're fairly new so you can be a part of the history instead of learning one. With a few more Brazilian or African signings, they'll be in the Champions League group stages in no time.
