We fricked...
Goalkeepers: Brad Guzan (Aston Villa), Tim Howard (Everton), Nick Rimando (Real Salt Lake)
Defenders: Ventura Alvarado (Club América), DaMarcus Beasley (Houston Dynamo), Matt Besler (Sporting Kansas City), Geoff Cameron (Stoke City), Brad Evans (Seattle Sounders), Fabian Johnson (Borussia Mönchengladbach), Michael Orozco (Club Tijuana), Tim Ream (Fulham), Jonathan Spector (Birmingham City)
Midfielders: Kyle Beckerman (Real Salt Lake), Alejandro Bedoya (Nantes), Michael Bradley (Toronto FC), Jermaine Jones (New England Revolution), Danny Williams (Reading), DeAndre Yedlin (Sunderland), Graham Zusi (Sporting Kansas City)
Forwards: Jozy Altidore (Toronto FC), Clint Dempsey (Seattle Sounders), Chris Wondolowski (San Jose Earthquakes), Gyasi Zardes (LA Galaxy)
If there is one team that Omar Gonzalez has been consistently good against... It's Mexico. No Omar.

Alvarado over Omar and Brooks is a headscratcher, but he better not be playing a second in this game.
Howard, Fabian, Cameron, Besler, Bradley, Bedoya, Dempsey, and Jozy have to start. Really not sure about the other three starters though. I'm thinking Jones, Williams, and Yedlin but not sure.
So I guess I'd like to see
Howard
Yedlin-Cameron-Besler-Fabian
Bedoya-Jones-Bradley-Williams
Jozy-Dempsey
This is kind of a weak roster overall.

#1 Obligatory "Wondolowski must have compromising pics of Jurgy" comment.
#2 Although not the same position, can Wondo loan those pics to Feilhaber? Please?
#3 Please no Alvarado.
#4 Oh shite, not a lot of other options concerning #3 with the named roster.
#5 Start Beckerdreds, sub him off for Yedlin in 2nd half, drop Baby Brads back, ???, profit.
#6 Timmy better start.
#7 Subs= Zardes, Yedlin, and no one else in that order.

Safe assumptions:
- A CDM will flank the wings to provide pace
- Bradley will play at the top of the diamond
- Alvarado will start
- A 10 will be our 6
- We will have a new CB pairing
- At least one player will be in a new position they have never played in before in any match
- All previous practices and matches are thrown out the window because we have to experiment
- Double standards will be applied
- Most importantly, we are stupid fans and our domestic league is shite

This is generally the case.

Alvarado has no business being on this roster. He doesn't even start for club America.

Alvarado's starting. Just accept it.

Who the frick down voted me? Newsflash: Alvarado isn't up to the level yet.

Kyle Beckerman
lol, he was being exposed 4+ years ago. And yet again sits on the roster and will probably get minutes in the game.
Posted on 10/4/15 at 3:34 pm to stlslick
Beckerman should be nothing more than cover for Danny Williams who should be ahead of him at CDM.

I don't know why you have Brad Evans highlighted. He was our 2nd best player at the Gold Cup (which isn't saying much I know).
Jk has already said Fabs and Beasley are the starting outside backs so its not like he's gonna play anyways.

However, while some players were not called in to play for the CONCACAF Cup because of injury, others were just not included because their peers were performing better. Gonzalez was one of those players, while a player like Club America’s Ventura Alvarado was included, even though the latter hasn’t started for his club in its last four games.
“Every time you have to cut down a roster like now from 35 to 23, there are some players that do not make it and it looks like they are not good enough, which is not the case,” Klinsmann said. “The competition is very, very tight. Not having Omar Gonzalez or Mix Diskerud on this roster, for example, is not because they are not good enough, it’s just because you see another player that is better in their position right now in this specific moment.

For a generally solid poster, you care way too much when you get a downvote.
