Aren’t some of the England based players ineligible for the Panama game. Robinson and Steffen?

Apparently that rule changed as long as they're vaccinated.

Aaronson getting subbed off when he did tells me that he is playing Sunday.

I feel like he’s still underrated. I know he had a few shitty attempts from distance today, but he still got an important assist, was very dangerous and created a few more chances. Without looking up stats, it feels like he either scores or gets an assist damn near every match he plays. That’s more than mckennie & Pulisic can say tbh.

He's been our best player since WCQ started.

Agreed. And folks talk about him being an off the bench type guy. Nah, you start the Medford Messi. Let Pulisic come off the bench…if he’s ever healthy.

Yeah, but now you're just doing the same thing that you're complaining about people doing to Aaronson.

The  was supposed to to imply a bit of tongue-in-cheek, but honestly you could make a case for Aaronson over Pulisic. if we’re just looking at recent form Pulisic hasn’t really done much for the MNT other than bang home a penalty against Mexico. He’s put out some very minor performances when he’s actually played.

In my perfect world you’d have them both on the field, but a case can certainly be made for Aaronson over Pulisic at the moment, even assuming Pulisic is healthy.

Imagine this group with a good tactical manager. The talent coming through right now is what I hoped to see for such a long time. It's all about staying healthy for some of these guys (Pulisic, Adams, Weah).

So much young talent. No mention of Pepi even.

I'm salivating right now at the thought of a lineup that includes Pulisic, Reyna, and Pepi. I can't wait to see it.

Gregg has to continue to use him on the wings to get the best out of Aaronson. I usually watch all of his matches with RB Salzburg and he plays in the hole behind the front 2. He struggles with his movement and positioning and gets marked out of the match a lot. He has his moments but not consistent. On the wing he seems to flourish as he is great in space.

A few comments on Greg - who I am definitely in the camp that we can do better.

Seems to me, when he has too much time to try and tinker and figure out tactics, he gets it wrong a lot. When he has to make halftime adjustments, he seems to do well.

US has been a much better second half team (for the most part) this year.

Maybe we need to not show him who the next opponent is until like an hour before the game starts?

Yes, as is evident in the last two games. His adjustments at halftime are working, which is good...but when we play a quality opponent, we can't take half a game to figure things out as we may be in a hole too big to climb out of.

Have to tip your cap to Canada getting a draw at the US and Mexico to start qualifying.

Watching the extended highlights and I swear on the Mexico goal they were offsides.. not showing it very much or slowly, but damn it was close if it wasn't.

He was definitely onsides. I watched it live and then I slowed it down on replay.

Regardless, it's inexcusable we don't have VAR for WCQ. Is CONCACAF the only federation not using it in WCQ?

Guess there's not an overall WCQ topic, but why the hell is Chile so bad now? Only above Bolivia and Venezuela in the standings right now with 7 points from 10 matches. Ooof.

They have no youth worth a shite coming through right now. Their core for years is way past their prime. Add in qualifying in that difficult region. Going to a place like La Paz is a nightmare for any team around the world.
