Aaronson and Weah both have the ability to be super subs off the bench

I think he was involved in more real chances in those few minutes than we saw for 2.5 games combined

Mexico leads Canada. If El Salvador beat Panama we’ll be up 3 pts plus goal differential on 3rd place. Good start

Not discrediting Weah's ability, but the game was wide arse open at that point, Zardes had a shite ton of real chances too.

I love musah so much. May he never get injured, and start every match until he retires in 2038.

Mexico's defense is so bad.

We can beat them in the Azteca.

Pepi swung his dick around in the 2nd half.

Also, Musah is still very good at dribbling the ball through the midfield.

Pepi converted two chances. Guy is really a great finisher.

Zardes could be a 20 goal scorer in Europe if he had Pepsi’s intuition.

Dest played his best game for the US in my opinion and Musah was outstanding throughout the second half. He and Dest did all of the buildup work on the first Pepi goal.

Arriola did the best he could. Aaronsen is very skilled but very thin and easy to hack.

Zimmerman played well until the final minute.

Weah is just a blazer. He came in at a time when the game was wide open and if he has played with Pepi, the game would have been even more lopsided.

No one played poorly, especially when you factor in baseline play.

I assume Panama will come in and play us very physically.

If everyone is healthy to go, and I’m not sure Dest will be, who do we start?

I would use the same backline. Maybe take Aaronsen off, put Musah up top with Pepi and Arriola, and put Acosta in as a DM.

Weah can be the super sub. If Dest can’t go, just straight sub him for Yedlin

Also, Jamaica should've had two red cards for denying clear goal scoring opportunities in the first 30 minutes.

Nah, Musah in the midfield is so important.

Aaronson getting subbed off when he did tells me that he is playing Sunday.

Ah, yes. The first was a clear red when the guy just pulled Ariola’s collar in a clear last man to the goal position. If it didn’t happen 15 seconds in, it would have been a red.

I think he got the second one right. Twellman would disagree vociferously but I think Jermaine Jones agrees it was not a red.

So you think Gregg runs it back (again assuming Dest is healthy)?

If that's a foul, it's a red because there was no one between Aaronson and the goal.

It's either a foul or not a foul.

I think McKenzie starts next to Robinson. He did really well in Honduras. I also wonder how Antonee Robinson's knee responds. They may rest him, so Bello or maybe Acosta starts there?

Turner
Yedlin-Robinson-McKenzie-?
Adams
McKennie-Musah
Aaronson-Pepi-Weah

I do worry that Gregg overthinks it and plays either Acosta or Lletget in place of Musah because of away experience. But we learned in Honduras last month that that's not always the case.
