Just watched Twellman's rant.

He's my spirit animal.

On the flip side it will be interesting for me to watch the WC without a rooting interest. I might dig that. Appreciate all the matches for what they are rather than hoping for US positive outcomes. Yeh, I'm excited to do that. Woo.

frick.

and pray that between now and 2022 Pulisic finds some teammates worthy to share the field with him.

Watch the U-17 WC. They look like a more cohesive team.

And OMG who will replace god emperor Bradley?

With the way football is heading, soccer will be picking up in a big way. In 20 years it's gonna look different. If US soccer was a stock...I'd buy tomorrow morning.

I feel physically sick. Watching the US games at bars and just celebrating with random people during the World Cup 2014 was some of the most fun I've ever had. Sucks we have to wait 5 years to experience that again. frick

I feel so bad for Pulisic. He deserves so much better than playing with these bums.

Players keep standing for the national anthem, the sky's the limit.

Will Saban lend the USMNT his cloning technology?

Exactly. I don't remember 1986.

Back then my dad told me Italy was good and to watch them. USA wasn't even thought about in soccer. Wasn't a big deal that the USA wasn't in it.

This one will hurt. Will still be fun to watch but suck at the same time.

Just saw a replay of Panama's first "goal." That ball didn't even come close to crossing the line. Disgraceful.

Even if the US had qualified this would be laughable. With no team in the World Cup, soccer in the US will continue to languish. A minimum eight year drought until the casual fan has something to pull for is a real setback.

The thing that really stings is the USMNT was the 1 thing in this country everyone got behind. Not everyone likes Brady, LeBron or the Yankees. But we all rooted for the soccer team once every 4 years and in recent decades the interest has grown and grown. Sure they weren't the best, but it was still our squad going up against the best in the world.

Can't emphasize how much that sucks. Beyond anything I've ever experienced in sports. Worse than any loss, I mean this was a pipeline into a sport that was growing. Now it's suddenly cut off. What a shame.

Nope.

This thing has turned. People are mad, upset, media is talking about it.

We are a footballing nation. Will it surpass American football and baseball? Who knows.

This loss hurt worse than last seaon’s national championship loss to Clemson, worse than the kick six, and worse than the Cam-back. It is without a doubt the most painful loss in a sport event I’ve ever felt.
