Pretty amazing turn around in mood tonight around the whole squad
Unbeaten streak up to 12.
Italia better watch out. 18-3-1 over past 2 years

Antonee Robinson made the difference tonight.
Came in on fire, had a great finish early and then dominated his entire side of the field offensively and defensively. He immediately freed Pulisic up to operate.
His intensity changed the team's whole demeanor.
Agree. He is a leader.

I love Oguchi Onyewu the analyst. Dude is not sugarcoating anything.
I was getting kudos at the pub tonight from my 2015 Onyewu kit

It doesn't seem like we practiced that formation much or the instruction wasn't good enough. Our spacing was horrible, defenders were caught out on islands, midfield was lost
That was a JK let’s roll out a new formation against Mexico debacle in the first half. Honduras was cutting through us with ease. 8 shots and extended periods of possession. Again this isn’t a white knight for Brooks but it’s hard for me to completely shite on him for that step on that goal when nobody looked like they knew wtf they were supposed to be doing on defense that entire half.

Back four should be locked up as: Dest Miles Brooks? AR
Midfield: Gio Weston Adams
Attack: LW: CP, ST: Pepi, RW: Aaronson?

I want Musah in that midfield and Gio on the wings... Aaronson supersub

Yes we need Gio high up the field on the wings to create in the final third

Gio plays a midfield role at Dortmund not a winger, right?

What’s the return timeline for Musah? Will it be early next year before he gets called in?

I’m right there with you. As much as I would love for Aaronson to play a ton of minutes, he’s been awesome off the bench for club and country.

For better or for worst, Gregg's system benefits those playing out wide. I want our most creative players out wide with the freedom to cut in.
Gio has been great for us on that right side pretty much every match he's played in for us.

Spoiled watching him play up the middle with Haaland

Underrated moment in this match now that I'm watching the highlights is Pulisic trying to get everyone back on the field from the celebration after the first goal.
Even at 1-1 that kid smelled blood in the water.

Probably next window. He played in Valencia's last match.

He really needs to be the captain. He leads by example, and before the changes at half was the only one (sans Pepi) showing any quality whatsoever.
He doesn’t want it, but I’d give it to him every fricking time. All the best captains never asked for it.

That first half was awful, and it seemed we were headed towards a JK-esque rout. Credit to the players for keeping their cool and figuring things out. When Pulisic went out with it still 1-1, I thought we’d hold on for a draw, at best. Instead, they took control of the match from that point.
While Gregg deserves lots of criticism for his first half tactics, he certainly pressed the right buttons at halftime and the players responded. I’ve never seen us play that well for a half against decent opposition on the road in CONCACAF. It’s one thing to do it against St. Vincent & the Grenadines. This was a dangerous Honduras team in San Pedro Sula.
Have we ever scored 4 goals on the road against non-Caribbean opposition? Nothing comes to mind. It’s impressive we did it in one half without any of our best players.
This experience may prove to be extremely beneficial in the long-term. Our players learned they can fight back for a win in hostile territory when it seemed like nothing was going our way.
Clearly, Antonee Robinson is our starter at LB, and Pepi deserves to start after tonight until proven otherwise. Great debut performance from him when we badly needed it. Miles Robinson continues to be a beast. I’ll give John Brooks the benefit of the doubt after a bad performance this window, since he’s been excellent far more often than poor in his tenure.
I think Gregg will stick solidly to the 4-3-3 at this point, after nearly putting our qualification on shaky ground with the 5-3-2.

Tyler Adams played every second of those three matches.
That's insane.

Gregg is what we got. He'll be out coached and out schemed, but they play for him. He'll either be us there or we'll have a new coach.
