How many slaves will that take to destroy and rebuild those stadiums?

As many as it needs. Next man up. Gotta respect the team mentality of the builders.

Qatar imports national team players just like they import workers to toil away on world cup stadiums per the scuttlebutt.

They really aren't that bad. On this current squad, 13 or 14 were born in Qatar (some places say Abdurisag was born in Somalia, some say Qatar). Alaaeldin was born in Egypt but has lived in Qatar since he was 10. Al-Rawi was born in Iraq, but has lived in Qatar since he was a child. Almoez Ali was born in Sudan, but has a Qatari mother. He's at least lived in Qatar longer than several of our players have lived in the US.

Win or lose, I’m just looking forward to seeing a match where we won’t get Concacaf’ed. This should be a better watch, more wide open style than we normally see in a Gold Cup.

to that

ETA: I haven’t seen an official graphic, but lots saying it’ll be the same XI starting this time as it was against Jamaica.

And you want to replace him with the other unpainfully creative midfielders' we have on the bench?

It's going to be a lot like the Wales match we played back in November.

We're going to dominate possession on our attacking end, but not really have many clean shots on goal, while Qatar bunkers and tries to spring a counter.

Good news is that their defense is not as good as Wales. Bad news is that this USMNT squad is not nearly as good as that USMMT squad.

Based on what? Because he’s something different?

That’s insanely dumb, especially in a semifinal against an unknown team. You go with what you trust and Lletget has had more solid to good games with the USMNT than bad.

He's one of the most creative players on this team.

For real. He was terrible last game, but has been a top player the last year or so. I’ll take him over Roldan in the 11 100% of the time.

And even in that game his creativity almost drew a penalty.
