Pretty much. Pullisic looked good and I liked what I saw. He created opportunities and everyone seemed to feed off him. The air was sucked out of the team after he went off.

Our next game is a friendly against Venezuela in Cincinnati on June 9th. Then one more tune-up friendly before the Gold Cup (opponent TBD).

My overall thought from this game, and really, the 4 games under Berhalter:

Michael Bradley is still important for us. He was our best player once Pulisic went down.

Sucked to see Pulisic go off as we created some good chances with him on. Game definitely changed afterwards.

Zardes actually looked pretty damn good most of the game. I usually shite on him so it feels nice to actually give him his due. He did have his typical concrete wall touches a few times but for the most part his hold up play was good

Still trying to figure out what Baird offers other than the high press

Gotta love Arriola - that guy will just run himself into the ground out there on both ends. To me he has earned a spot in this team going into the GC

Gregg is letting Bradley sit deep and is not asking him to get forward which greatly improves his game. He did have some bad defensive moments however getting beat 1v1

Roldan had some good disruptive play in the first 25 minutes or so then sort of vanished after that

Good to see Gregg adjust in game and try something different instead of the usual 90 minutes of pounding head against a concrete wall we have seen from previous coaches

I heard that it will be Jamaica in DC. Don't we usually play friendlies in May as well?

Zardes is one guy I will never have a problem with who actually played with the previous guard of players.

He would frick up a chance, but he never got down on himself and quit and he always gave 100% for the team. He gets a bad wrap on here because he has a shite touch, but at least he continually puts in effort and seems to not take his opportunity for granted.

You’re correct. Our next game is scheduled to be a friendly against Jamaica in DC a few days before the Venezuela game.

US Soccer confirmed that late last night. I hadn’t seen that.

I could be wrong, but usually there are no international games in April and May because so many domestic seasons are wrapping up. There always tons of friendlies in June.

I think he can be one of those transitional guys we lacked last cycle. He will be 28ish going into the WC, probably not a starter, but great to pull off the bench as a sub or to start a late group stage game to give someone a rest.

We played May 28th last year and pretty sure we played in May in previous years. The International Dates may have changed.

In your opinion was this an 'A' team from Chile? I know that Vidal played so it had to be at least a B+ team. I only got to see the last 20 minutes or so and was involved in other things. We looked like we were playing them even. What was your feeling? The football show this morning said they thought that GGG gave up on trying to win when he put Trapp in and he looking to preserve a tie in the friendly. They were not happy with doing this.

No it was not an A team from Chile. I’d say B + is fair.

No Sanchez, Bravo, Beausejour, Vargas, Roco, or Gutierrez. This is definitely the end of the golden generation. I think they have one last 4 year run in them, but Russia was their last chance to make some significant noise and they missed out on it. That’s honestly the best Chile has looked in a while in last nights match. I think they’ll do well in the Copa this year.

Ticket
British usage.

Used in the play merchant of Venice.

Was used as term for "money" in central and eastern Europe since medieval days.

I only hear it used on tv about the scarcity and expense of good Tix.
