Seriously, Bolt and Ziggy may be playing for Jamaica tomorrow for all we know. Apparently, their players and the FA are in a contract dispute right now so the usual suspects like Andre Blake, Kemar Lawrence etc. are not in this squad.
Some players also had visa issues traveling to Austria and some players tested positive for COVID.
12 of the players they've called up have never made a cap and 9 of the players are in the Jamaican league that hasn't played a match since COVID. The rest are a bunch of English mercs from the championship.

Also, this is the last time we saw Christian Pulisic in a USMNT kit.
That was 15 months ago. By comparison, when Donovan quit the USMNT to go to Cambodia, that was only a 11 month hiatus.

I thought that news of some of the positive cases came out since midnight when you posted that. For instance, US Soccer put out a statement 45 minutes ago.

Today's USMNT friendly vs Jamaica is advertised as a 1 pm ET match. It is not.
ESPN2 won't begin coverage until 1:20.
Kickoff is 1:28.

Yeah, I was just responding to UNC who said he wanted Weah on the frontline.
I’m fine with the roster. Would maybe have liked to see someone other than Acosta, but oh well.
