IMO tonight is the most important game since that night that shall not be named in Trinidad. These are the two A squads, minus Raul Jimenez, in a competitive match for a trophy. This may be a meaningless tournament but tonight is anything but.

I forget what show on SiriusXM FC it was but they were talking about Gregg calling him up so the national team docs could get a look at him and evaluate his fitness. Before shutting him down for the summer like his club wants too

I mean, there is no way any of us know what the severity of it was/is.
You're forgetting that Gregg and Jesse have somewhat of a relationship. I know you want to believe the worst case scenario for everything USMNT-related, but you're being extremely ridiculous.
Like use your critical thinking skills here, why the frick would Gregg say Adams is healthy in a press conference the day before he plays his rivals in a final?
Totally sets him up to get destroyed by everyone if he doesn't play Adams at all a day after saying he is healthy.

And on the subject of calling someone in to evaluate their health and fitness, this isn't even the first time they've done that. I can't remember the last player they did that with but I'll see if I can dig it up.

They'd call Pulisic in for the first camp after COVID last November, but he wasn't in any of the squads for the friendlies.
They've never called someone in for a non-friendly match to waste a roster spot to evaluate someone's fitness.

It would be more of a shitstorm on Leipzig's end for giving Adams the ok to go to camp.
If Gregg got the approval to bring Adams in, why is that his fault?
