My one takeaway from that raping:
Aaronson is really fricking good and still probably doesn’t start if we played a best XI.
We are stacked in the midfield to where the next cap Michael Bradley gets should be for his farewell match.
Starting midfield right now is Adams, McKennie, Musah with Yueill, Aaronson and Lletget as the backups

No one kneeled during the Anthem. Funny that ESPN didn’t show the anthems. TUDN showed both anthems and our players stood arm-in-arm.
Before play started all 22 players on the pitch kneeled for a second.

I actually thought Aaronson had a rough first half compared to the rest of the team. Second half I wasn’t paying close attention so maybe he played a lot better.
But early on he seemed to lose possession a few times against minimal pressure. It also seems like he always tries to make the more difficult play rather than keeping it simple. Not sure how much of that could be him trying to flash his play making ability vs low quality competition but he just didn’t impress me much tonight.
Salzburg should be a great experience for him though under Marsch.

Hard to make any conclusions from that game. Here are my takeaways though:
- Mueller looks like another Arriola with better quality in the final third
- Akinola is a bull in a china shop
- Lletget had a great game. Today he is in our first choice 23
- The back 4 had nothing to do. Araujo played some nice crosses but was under zero pressure when doing so. He had an awful giveaway in the second half though that a better team makes you pay for
- Yueill played some nice long balls. He still has a place in this team just not first XI
- Hard to get a read on Aaronson as most of his plays just involved him blowing by their shite defense. Need to see him against some tougher competition in the MF

Last 2 games vs CONCACAF opponents were an aggregate 12-2 win. 17 SOG for, 6 SOG against.

Fair enough. I don't either FWIW. Politics in sports don't bother me as much as some people, but I wish the national teams stayed out of it. Should be a time for everyone to come together as Americans and forget the other things that divide us.
