Haven’t watched tonight, but has Mueller looked good good or just playing El Salvador good?

He’s looked pretty good imo. Composed in front of goal.

Really good energy by Mueller early on, good composure on the ball and pretty darn creative.

Haven’t seen anything impressive from Akinola tonight. Sucks that Dike got injured.

Rumor is that they didn’t want to make him file a switch so the injury is just a reason to not play him. Not sure the validity, but seems plausible.

Huh. I knew he was a dual national but didn’t realize he would have needed to file a switch.

Why would he have to do that?

That’s that Harry Kane bump bullshite that’s literally going to break someone’s neck or spine. The fact refs haven’t seen EXACTLY what they’re doing in these situations makes me believe I’m better at understanding cheap bullshite tactics than them.

I don't think he does. I can't find any evidence that he has ever played for any national team or youth national team.

And if for some reason he did have to file a switch, they could just say he was ineligible to play like they did for Alvarez. The faking an injury rumor just sounds like bullshite.

I thought he had played for a Nigeria youth team. Just stating that was a rumor on Orlando City Reddit. I didn’t fully believe it because I knew Alvarez was in a similar spot having played for Mexico. Figured more logical answer is he got dinged up in training and decided to sit him.

Yeah, I don't think he has ever played for Nigeria at any level, and this game wouldn't cap tie him, either. It just seems like a conspiracy theory.
