I certainly don’t take qualification for granted, for the record. I just expect more from us. Costa Rica has averaged like 0.8 goals per game in the Oct and are beating us 2-0 right now. That’s just shitty.

Keep in mind this is a team without McKennie and Dest.
I did hope we could perform better against a lesser Costa Rica team and finish above Mexico, but there’s still a lot to be optimistic about.

Seriously though, even you have to admit this is embarrassing against their kids. In the late 90's we would have drawn at San Jose if not for a phantom handball but at least that was against Wanchope, Medford, etc.

Whelp Vegas took some money from me tonight. That's what I get for assuming anything different in San Jose.
And for those talking about this team playing like this in the WC, there's a huge difference in playing in an international tourney somewhere vs playing a CONCACAF qualifier in Costa Rica or Panama.
