Eta maybe putting too much emphasis on that but feel like a main reason Qatar overachieved this summer in the gold cup was because all their intl players play in same league, over half of them from the same 2 teams.

That was a fun game. Haji looked good. The switcheroo for Haji’s first goal, after he and Pulisic played on all the youth teams together, will go down in USMNT lore. Pulisic and Aaronson played to their level. CCV looked solid and his passing was good. Weah looks like a man reborn. Turner was reassuring and his passing was actually pretty good.

My dad has watched soccer his whole life but doesn’t watch much beyond the World Cup, Euros, a few Turkish league matches, and some Turkish and US national team games.
Based on his feedback as someone who never reads message boards, even articles on ESPN, and isn’t aware of people’s club situations, and just watches USMNT qualifiers, he assumed Weah, Pulisic, Zimmerman, and Adams were by far the most high profile players on the team.
