Just realized the US will have 2 more days of rest for the semis (should they win tonight) than Argentina or Venezuela. That's massive. Terrible scheduling by FIFA or CONMEBOL or whoever the hell came up with that.

SI says
The U.S. will be playing before a pro-U.S. crowd here, even though high ticket prices mean that only 43,000 of a 67,000 tickets had been sold as of Wednesday

yeah prices are insane, I paid 250 for tickets to the Houston semi. that is insane, these greedy fricks need to lower the prices and pack these stadiums.

I hate people

Not like a WC is here. I decided to pay a small fraction to see Astros Saturday in place of going to see MNT....even though they will never be this close again to see live most likely. Tix pricing is just laughable crazy for this tourney.

for a country trying to commit itself to the game, this is fricking retarded

in Seattle of all places too. not implying that we have sole command of these things, it's just frustrating

yeah, a huge problem. I'm not suggesting fault on the part of Americans in the slightest. $250 to sit in the 3rd deck of a NFL stadium? I wouldn't pay that shite either

say that in the near future the gold cup and copa merge, and we host. I'd definitely pony up for a knockout stage game against a South American squad with confederations cup slots on the line. but for this? no, no, no
