Doesn’t really matter. At least they’re in the top 3 this time. If CR wins at home we’ll put some space between 4th place.

Nice to have an ugly win for a change and not a tie. Not pretty but got the points.

Beating Mexico in the standings is <<<<<< qualifying for the World Cup.

Obviously in a perfect world they lose, but as of now I’d like to create some distance from Panama more than anything.

Amazing save by the Canada keeper, still 1-0 on 72

ETA: And Canada scores on 73 so that’s that

On to Costa Rica - Panama

On to Canada. I will be furious if Gregg puts in a scrub line-up. I don’t hate him nearly as much as some of you but that Panama line-up was terrible.

If we start Lletget, Acosta, and Arriola…

It worries me that only Musah subbed out of the MMA midfield today and that was after 80+ minutes.

I feel like we’re definitely getting Acosta against Canada as an 8 which always fricks the modfield.

Going through sort of a U10 rec/academy mix with my son at the moment and I think we’ve had one ref over the age of 17.

ETA: CR wins!

Costa Rica with a nice late night gift to the US. Panama unlucky in stoppage time with a blistering header bounce square off the cross bar.

following today's matches...

Scenarios to clinch a World Cup berth in this window:

USA
- Two U.S. wins
- Two Panama losses
- Max of 2 points for CRC

Canada
- Two Canada wins
- Max of 1 point for Panama
- Max of 3 pts for CRC

This is not impossible. Both US matches are very winnable. Panama has an improved Jamaica at home and at Mexico. CRC is at Mexico and at Jamaica. I hope Greggg goes for it. Would take a lot of pressure off the final window in March, including the trip to Azteca.

Gregg needs to put in an A team against Canada.

At the most four subs from today’s line-up, with two of them being Aaronson, Pepi, and Miles Robinson.

However, my concern is with any fullbacks other than Yedlin and our central midfield.
