You don't want the Lebron James of the country to play soccer. The fast-twitch basketball and football guys are not the same type as most top level soccer players. Our current players are more than athletic enough. We need better technical players, training, infrastructure, youth development, etc.

No, it is not. We already are at that point.

I don't think we've played too terribly outside of one bad set piece where Zapata has the best hit of his life.
However, we are garbage in the final third. We need those "fresh legs" players now.

I just never feel like we have any offensive threat. We get the occasional luck but squander it. And then you have Dempsey get a shot and shoots it 10 feet from outside the box.

That is a good question for Hendo, but I would think so. Their fullbacks in the WC were center backs. Fabian > Howedes at fullback imo.
Also, I like That attempt from Dempsey.

If you ever question Dempsey's value, reference that shot.

bradley playing as a DLP/DM has transformed our entire shape and provided so much calm in front of the backline

so why not continue to use it a strength while developing our youth system?
oh my god

I can't believe we can't get a fair shake from the Mexican referee.
