No frickin shite, genius. His brother, whom got him the job, was an exec for the US soccer federation and is now an exec for the MLS.

I wouldn’t go that far. I’d actually guess the likelihood of us beating England is higher than Iran getting more than 1 point out of the group

We tend to frick things up. Nothing would surprise me at this post.

Iran is a must win at this point and imo his starting 11 and tactics will determine whether he’s canned or not.

Not a fan of coaches staying for more than one cycle. Thank him for his recruiting efforts and move on to a better tactician.

makes me wonder if Gregg will throw out a milquetoast lineup friday knowing that’s our best path

Whelp, finished watching. You just knew that despite completely dominating them in the first half, and really only having one shot on target to show for it, we were in for a dog fight in the second half.

No plan B in tactics, our subbing stunk, and despite dominating for probably 55 minutes of the match, we had very little actual production to show for it.

Positives - multiple players individually looked good. Team pressed decently

Negatives - Greg Berhalter, crossing against a team a lot taller than us, free kicks, Zimmerman (who I thought played great 99.99999% of the seconds in the game.)

Beating Wales would have gone a long way towards our advancing. Now we have to show up strong against England and all the pressure will be on beating Iran.

Why the hell did we drop back our line of confrontation in the second half so much allowing their CBs time on the ball to pick out passes? Frustrating as hell

I'm not convinced Iran can't take points from both Wales and us

If they get their keeper back they will. I have Wales and England making it out of this group though.

No way you watched both games yesterday and that's your takeaway.
