Totally agree, I would rather wait until the summer to get a legit CB and not try to force a purchase in the winter that doesn't pan out. Same with RWB.

Looking at the 4th place challengers no one really made any moves to improve their squads:

Arsenal - no
West Ham - no
Man United - no (greenwood permanent transfer to prison, VDB & Martial out on loans)

We still have games in hand on all the teams around us and have been improving since Conte took over. January felt rough because of the 3 chelsea games but in the league we still took 6/9 points and advanced in the FA cup. Now we have Son, Romero, and Dier back.

Thoughts:

-Having Romero and Son back will be huge. Looked loads better with them
-Bentancur slid right into the team.
-Kulusevski only has a left foot . Not great running in behind, but looked fantastic with the ball at his feet and taking somebody on.

I'll just leave this here for everyone.

This was almost a carbon copy of the first match of the season against Southampton. I don't know if they match up well or what, but they've brought it to Spurs twice this year.

Also, Emerson was painfully bad. Bentancur looks a player though.

Bentacur was class.

For some reason we thought it would be a good idea to give JWP plenty of time to ping in balls and not track any attackers.

Big scheme of things we’re still in an okay spot for top 4 but we can’t really have any more slip ups against these bottom 10 teams

Only a few positives to take out of this one.

- Lucas has improved his end product so much. He made the key pass in both goals.

- Bentancur really looks like an upgrade in the middle.

On the negative side of things this is exactly what Conte was talking about with Sanchez and his lapses. Not fair to pile on him now because he really has improved this year, but he was way off the mark tonight.

We knew that RB was our weak link and that could not have been more true tonight. Emerson was involved in all three of their goals. Sucks to see him take 2 steps back after his performance against Brighton.

We really missed Dier's presence in the air tonight. I'm not sure how he and Romero will fit together since they both have looked good in the middle, but I really want to see them in the same starting XI.

Lastly, I can't help but think that we are going to need to find the personnel this summer to allow Conte to set up in a 352. We get dominated by opposing midfields when we set up in the 343. It's way to easy to play though the middle even with us starting multiple holding mids.

Being a fan of Spurs is so painful. As someone with zero family or location ties to the club I can’t believe I chose to put myself through this

Same, and I imagine most of us chose them as adults

I really feel for the Tottenham supporters in England that have to show up at work the next day, and just take shite from everyone. Lol

Is it time to end the Kane era and bring in fresh players? Or do we go through the summer transfer and see if we can fix some of the problems?

I'm almost at the point I'm ready to try anything different than what we are doing now.

No point in selling Kane, we'd just blow the proceeds like we did with the Bale money. Eriksen ended up being very good, but the other 6 players we bought were Lamela, Chadli, Paulinho, Capoue, Chiriches, and Soldado

Since then most of our major signings have been terrible. We splashed more than $185mm for Tanguy Ndombele, Gio Lo Celso, Davinson Sanchez, and Moussa Sissoko.

COYS!

Badass ending and that game came out of nowhere except that Conte has played Pep’s daddy before.

What an ending.

Lose handedly to Chelsea, Southampton, and Wolves but beaten City. Classic Spurs
